Dr. Noor Amra is a Board Certified eye physician and surgeon by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Practicing in Southern California. She was born & raised in Los Angeles. After graduating high school at the top of her class at the age of 16. She received her undergraduate degree with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of California, where she also received the prestigious full-tuition Regents scholarship (the highest award granted in the UC System).

Dr. Amra went on to receive her medical degree (M.D) from Rush Medical College in Chicago where she discovered her love for Ophthalmology and performed cutting retinal research with some of the most world renowned Ophthalmologists. As a medical student, she co-founded the Ophthalmology interest group to help medical students gain early exposure in Ophthalmology. Dr. Amra continued at Rush University Medical Center for her general surgery internship and Ophthalmology residency training. The Ophthalmology residency program at Rush is known to be one of the most prestigious and competitive programs in the nation, known to graduate doctors with experiences in high surgical volume and clinical pathology. Described as a “Gifted Surgeon” by her mentors, Dr. Amra served as the Chief resident at her program.

Dr. Amra has since relocated back to Southern California and has joined the Advanced Eye Medical Group in Mission Viejo . Dr. Amra’s interests include the full spectrum of eye surgery including cataract, oculoplastic surgery, treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and management of glaucoma. She also has a keen interest in noninvasive cosmetic procedures offering the full spectrum of treatments including Botox, filler and laser treatments. She is fluent in both Spanish & Arabic.

Away from work, Dr. Amra enjoys spending time with her family and her three younger children. She is very active on social media with a public following, known as eyegirlMD on Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube where she shares snapshots from her personal and professional life with her 450,000 followers and growing. Her goal is to empower women through education.
