A board-certified ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) you may know me as EyegirlMD on my social media accounts! The career I have is one I love and wouldn’t trade for the world. What could be better than getting up in the morning and knowing that during the course of my day I will truly get to help people. That said, my career is not all of who I am. The titles wife and mom also apply—titles I embrace with all of my heart and soul. And no, it is not all smooth sailing. In fact, some days it is just plain hard trying to ‘balance’ it all.
I started my social media accounts, in part, to share my story and to hear yours. We are connected and we are similar in so many ways…That’s why I love sharing stories.
My goals are simple: as a physician, I want to keep you informed about the latest in eye health, all things beauty and skincare related, and about living a healthier life in general. As a mom and wife, I want to be able to have an honest and open dialogue about how hard and sometimes frustrating it can be to find ‘balance’. As a woman, I am invested in empowering other women; we don’t have to just be dream chasers, because we are dream achievers!
